The KrashKO chamber orchestra is a project orchestra full of enthusiastic musicians from the Delft Student Music Company Krashna Musika. This year our theme is "Together," emphasizing both ensemble playing and interaction with society. Thus, in addition to our concert on June 2 in The Hague, we will also perform in an asylum seekers' center. Furthermore, we play with smaller ensembles in nursing homes in the region.

To give extra attention to ensemble playing, we play without a conductor. In Instead, the orchestra will be led by our professional concertmaster, Johan Olof.

The ensemble playing will receive an extra dimension with Mozart's Sinfonia Concertante in E-flat major. This piece was written for chamber orchestra as well as four wind soloists: Anne Marieke Zijlstra on oboe, Marenka Brussee on clarinet, Sander Borst on bassoon and Jisse Kooij on horn.

In addition, KrashKO will perform the impressive Symphony in D Major by Luigi Cherubini. Cherubini was a contemporary of Beethoven, who was a great fan of his. This specific symphony was even heard at Beethoven's funeral!
