Sunday, August 18
Schie Parade (5:00 PM - 7:00 PM)
On Sunday afternoon, Krashna will be participating in the Delft Schie Parade! This is part of the OWee kickoff, and we'll be out in full force for everyone to see.
Monday, August 19
Information Market (1:00 PM - 5:45 PM)
We'll be at the traditional information market, ready to answer all your questions. Look for our booth and stop by for a chat!
Tuesday, August 20
Botanical Garden Concert (4:00 PM - 6:00 PM)
Looking for a relaxing activity? Come lie on the grass and enjoy our concert in the botanical garden.
Krashna Music Evening (8:00 PM - 10:00 PM)
Tuesday evening, join us for a fun canon singing session at Café de Joffer. If you love singing or want to give it a try, come sing with enthusiastic Krashna members while enjoying a drink.

Activities Market and Maestro (11:00 AM - 3:00 PM)
At the activities market at X, you can get more information about our association. Various ensembles will perform on stage, and you can try conducting with a real Krashna Maestro!
Thursday, August 22
Just dance (11:00 AM - 1:00 PM)
The OWee is almost over, but don't worry! On Thursday, you can come by one last time to burn off your remaining energy with a game of Just Dance in the Theaterzaal of X.
When are the rehearsals?
The choir and orchestra both rehearse weekly. The orchestra rehearses on Mondays (7:30 PM - 10:30 PM) and the choir on Wednesdays (7:30 PM - 10:00 PM). You can join both if you like. Rehearsals take place at X, followed by a social drink.
Are there other activities besides rehearsals?
Yes, we have rehearsal weekends twice a year where we work hard on projects and have time for social activities and parties. Krashna also turns into a water sports association every two years during the sailing week. Members often organize other sports activities like volleyball and soccer. Krashna also participates in an annual inter-orchestral soccer day. In the summer, we often have a big project or go on tour. This year, we visited Prague and Krakow. These activities wouldn't be possible without our committees. Joining a committee is a great way to meet people and develop new skills, and it's highly encouraged in our association. This helps new members get involved quickly.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for people who enjoy making music together. You can join the choir, participate in chamber music events, or play in the orchestra. Everyone is welcome in the choir—no audition required. Just a love for singing.
For the orchestra, auditions are required. We are currently looking for the following instruments:
- Violin
- Viola
- Cello
- Double bass
- Trombone
- Clarinet
- Oboe
- Flute
- Trumpet
- Bassoon
What have you recently performed?
This past year, we had several major projects. The orchestra performed Shostakovich’s 5th Symphony and Grieg’s Piano Concerto with Yang Yang Cai as the soloist. The choir gave a Christmas concert featuring music from various eras. The highlight was the St. Matthew Passion, a collaboration between the choir and orchestra.
Is it possible to practice somewhere?
As a member of Krashna, you automatically get a subscription to X, which means you can use the facilities at the sports and cultural center. There are also rehearsal rooms available if you don’t want to disturb your housemates.
